Since our house was the only one on our block that did not have an address plate on our mailbox, I decided to make one. It is a brick mailbox, so I used an antique square of ceiling tin. Another project for Open House at Bloom and Bee Swanky. This is French triple dresser/chest before and after. Hubby had to rebuild before I repainted. A very very pale grey/white.

So busy getting ready for Bloom and Bee Swanky's Holiday Open House. For details see www.beeswanky.blogspot.com. One of my projects was this old earthenware elephant table. I just love it now that it is all white! Can't wait to see it in place in the shop. I'll post photos later this week of the shop after it is all dressed and ready!

Recently painted this large painting modeled after our Boston Terrier, Bulgier. He's been gone 10 years now and we still miss him. The painting does not lie, his eyes went in the opposite direction. But he had such soul. You Boston Terriers lovers out there know what I'm saying.

As you can see, I REALLY do like this new paint color I found...soft, soft, grey. The tall cabinet on the left is another example if my painted "faux" enamel tags. The top of the chair I just painted shows at the bottom of the photo.

I purchased these chairs with the plan to reupholster someday. The fabric was in good shape...I just wasn't crazy about it. The other day I had this idea that I would try to paint first. Now I think I really do like the fabric. The paint seems to really compliment it. I especially like the way the paint brings out the carvings. What do you think?

All my santos and most of my nichos have sold at Bloom and Bee Swanky. Since I love animals, I painted this 8 x 10 retablo of St. Francis, patron saint of animals.
